Today we edited the preliminary task 'feed the fish' so that we could have as much time as possible to carefully plan, record and research the main task which is the opening sequence.Todays editing went very well because half of us knew how to use iMovie so it was quick and easy to do instead of thinking how do we do this, how do we do that etc. There were a few jump cuts at first but it was easy to make the transition more smoother and realistic. Overall i think we did very well and we are all excited to be starting the main task because we have all had an input.

Preliminary Task..
So yesterday we filmed out preliminary task in our media lesson. We managed to get it all done in less than an hour!
What we decided to do was first of all draw the "Feed the Fish" sign :-)
Then we got the camera and went around the school to find an empty classroom, and once we did, Sarah and Duresh stayed there and set up the room, while Becky and I went running around the school to record the first 2/3 scenes from the storyboard... Then we made it up to the class room and we started filming in there... before we filmed the more difficult shots we rehearsed them first. We managed to finish filming excatly at 3.30!! And as we ran back to our class room we watched what we recorded. Then we returned the camera and tripod, kept the cassette and decied to do all the editing on Monday's lesson.
..So that is what we have done so far... hopefully the editing will go all well, and we will get it done quickly so that then we can make a start on our final piece... so excited!!

Coming up with an idea....
I liked my idea, but oh well. Everyone said Eppings forest was too far and we can't use bones and blood because it's too creepy.
So far, we have a rough idea of what we want to do....
Basically starts with a girl going on her daily jog, she takes the wrong route without knowing. She then ends up in a forest, listening to music, suddenly hears something, takes her headphones out...calls out....Finds no-ones there, we use a number of different angles for the shot e.g rotating the camera around the girl whilst she is turning (creates tension). The girl than runs off. We hear a voiceover of her talking about what is happening then we see her dead. Voiceover goes something like "this is how it all started"
Something like that, soo yeah there will be some blood :D
